Don't stop uploading! Nothing has been approved yet because I'm still working on it. However I'll be finished by Thursday morning, so keep uploading and your chapters will be put up then. Thank you!

Unfortunately, the majority of our uploading team has chosen to go on hiatus all at the same time. So, instead of trying to personally fill their shoes, I thought of it as an opportunity to make Manga Hut more community oriented. Thus, I introduced these new features.

Add Series

If a series has yet to be added to our directory you can use this feature to do so.

Add Group

Users can now add scanlation groups to our database instead of simply listing them on the chapters.
Group owners will be able to post updates to their group page.
Users will be able to search releases by group.

Upload Chapter

Groups and users are now able to upload chapters themselves without any special type of permission on their account.
Everything uploaded will appear on the site in it's original form (unlike most other manga viewers).

Other New Stuff (not up yet)

You will be alerted on a page of the site when one of your favorite series has been updated.
You can ask to be notified via email when one of your favorite series has been updated.
You will be able to subscribe to a group and be notified in the same ways when an update is made to that group.
Upload progress bar with percentage done

I hope that everyone will try these features out, and post any suggestions they have for them or the site in general in the comments. Thank you!

I have a question, since the new public uploader is up, does that mean we will not be able to upload through the mod panel anymore?

For the moment yes since the system has changed so much to allow for new features I would have to recode the mod uploading panel. However if enough people wanted to mod version back who would actually use it I would be it available again.

It requires going through more moderation, and its more work overall. Where as with the mod panel uploading system, it was real simple, just a couple clicks and your series was up. Oh well.

I like this new feature, maybe it does require more moderation by the mods. But it makes uploading manga accessible to more people. i think it was designed this way to ease the burden a bit for the regular uploaders.(if enough people are willing to use it) I mean uploading manga is demanding, your never really done because new mangas are released every day.

I tried the uploading system myself and i must say that it is pretty user friendly, even for a noob like me. I do hope i didn't mess up to much things tho. For the first few manga i uploaded i wrote ''Chapter'' infront of the number of the manga, i realized that is not very consistent with how the rest of the manga numbers are labeled so i used a 3 digit number later on. I hope it does not cause to much trouble to edit my errors. google-eye

KaitenV better make some guidelines for the mods on the moderate page..so that there will be less mistakes.

I agreed with Asahina...what if some idiots uploaded DC or Marvel Comics....and got this site shut down...well if this site got shut down and kaitenV get some lawsuit...this wont be nice at all

Hey Kaiten I'm slightly confused with the upload chapter part. I get everything but the part with "Chapter Title/#*" I know for the number I put the three digit number, but what about the chapter title?
I uploaded chapters for one series. You only have to put the three-digit number. I guess the ''Chapter Title'' is for episodes unrelated to the main story. For example, Dragon Ball has 40 chapters + 2 Extra-Vol.... So, the next one should be ''041'' for the next chapter or ''Extra-Vol3'' if it's a special.

On the ''Don't stop uploading'', I just pretty much tried to upload chapters for a single series not knowing exactly if it was accepted or not. If I did something wrong, I don't want to make you work more by deleting all the ''bad'' uploads I would have tried to put there and/or not knowing if someone actually uploaded the same chapters/series already.

Were are in no real need for mods
We have a crazy amount..
and I'm active all the time so I can allow a lot of chapters..

I have no clue how this thing works so I'm no real help in this thread...

How long does usually take for chapter or series to be approved? Will I get a email when it is approved or disapproved?
I've submitted few series and chapters yesterday, but still don't see them on the site. Just want to know if it is me who did something wrong or mods who are a little slow. :)

Well I've looked and there is nothing to be moderated so I don't know why the chapters aren't showing up

There are still many things he has yet to add. He isn't entirely finished with the whole coding. But He is at least 70% done. Just be glad that the feature will be completely done before the ending of this month.

I'm sure all of you can't wait to share new series and new chapters with everyone else but remember that without this little downtime we are experiencing, we would not be able to upload them on Mangahut. You should all stop worrying about how much time it will take for your uploads to be up. I'm sure that KaitenV is putting a lot of energy and time into this great addition to the website.

Mods, admins and uploaders who could do the previous uploading method. You should be able to approve things.

I noticed some of the manga series i uploaded still have some missing chapters. It could be that they are still in the procces of being added ofcoarse. But i just wanted to be sure if those uploaded chapters reached the site, or should i upload them again?

P.S.: The new manga/scanlation group selection on the upload section is great!, very convenient. good-job

One other thing. Since yesterday when I try to navigate to next chapter using next chapter button or next page button I always get following error:
Series/Chapter not found.
You are being redirected. If your browser does not redirect you in 4 seconds or if you do not want to wait, you may click this link to forward yourself manually.

I have to go back and choose the next chapter from the dropdown list. I think that last update has broken something.

Yeah...you are right..

I think KaitenV needs to recode something in order for it to work properly again...

Yeah, i noticed this aswell, many uploads don't seem to reach the Mangahut server. Take for instance the Girls Saurus Dx manga, only 14 of the 46 chapters i uploaded where succesfull. this might ofcoarse have something to do with my own internet connection. I would like some tips on how to increase the succes of a upload. Or maybe something like a list of uploaded chapters that have yet to be approved by mods would come in handy, so uploaders can confirm if their uploaded manga reached the site.

Tetra, I approved both things you uploaded, Claymore 93 and Kure-nai 17, but for some reason only Claymore is popping up. Some chapters dont seem to be going through after they have been approved.

When you use the drop down bar to get to the next chapter it works, but when you use the two arrows to move between chapter to chapter it doesnt. So, nope.

EDIT: Its fixed now

BTW, I've found a bug. Restore previous input button doesn't restore group dropdown and puts "20" into group textbox.

Uploaded Anjuu no Chi 2, Sister and Brother 1-2,4-6. Only S&B 6 have appeared on the site... Can it be that only last upload is saved? Or I can't upload several chapters simultaneously?

Edit: Never mind that, almost everything is up. Just it took some time and chapters appeared in random order.

My series (Flower Flower) is up but there are no chapters. Should I reload them?

Also I forgot to stick the credits back in Ch. 1 when I was re-organizing the zip folders. What should I do? Re-upload that one later?

I think you don't.

More bugs:
1. Sometimes uploads do disappear after being approved. E.g. I've uploaded Tenjo Tenge 123-125, approved all 3 chapters, but only first two appeared on the site.
2. I'm trying to change chapters 900+ of Nana to Kaoru type to Omake, but changes don't appear on the mod page.

The only time that happened to me was when i forgot to check a single page while approving the manga. So be sure to check every single page before pressing the approve manga button.

I checked only few first pages, since I saw all pages offline already. It always worked before.

Yeah im sure the manga was saved correctly to your computer before uploading, but i was saying that maybe the Mangahut system requires you to check every single page before approving the manga (notice the little circle with ''all fields are required'' at the bottom of the approve page). Just to check if the upload to the Mangahut server went ok. The system might just delete the manga if you did not check all the fields (the pages) before pressing approve. But don't pin me down on that statement im not sure about it. It's a good idea to just check every page to see if it loads before adding it to the site, just to be sure.

Edit: I got the same problem with approving some manga chapters now, so im not sure what the problem is. =(

Nah it actually doesn't matter how many pages you check. I actually only check about half before approving. However there have been a lot of changes since I first put it up. Tell me if it happens in the future.

Uploading Gunnm manga right now. The chapter disappears with like 20% probability. I even had upload ch. 4,9,10 3 times.

Edit: I know there is a delay before manga appears, but that's not the case. Other chapters do show up, and if you reupload disappeared chapter, it shows up with latest timestamp. Look at Gunnm chapters timestamps which are not in correct order.

I'm kind of ex-php programmer, and I have an Idea.
Can it be that you do chapter moving/publishing work in after you sent a page to the client (upload mod), in the end of the approve action? And server don't disconnect client yet, since php script is not finished. But when mod navigates to another page (like clicking Select Upload button), client drops connection, and php script is terminated by the server (default action on disconnect) before it finishes his work.
If that's the case you should either move all work to before you send page, or call ignore_user_abort(true). Hope that helps.

Hi there! To add a new series, simply type the name of the series into the gray bar below "Series Name*" instead of selecting one from the drop-down menu. Have fun uploading. ^^

edit: I wanted to upload 8 chapters of Sword and Cornett. i found that mh has the first 4 chapters of the series,added under another name(Plus-si: Sword and Cornett), after i finished uploading(i actually searched for it in the beginning).

What exactly will happen? Will all 8 chapters be rejected or the ones that mh doesn't have will be added to the existing series?
