Fairy Tail = anime!?

Fairy Tail. Some call it a One Piece clone (haters), while others call it a work of original art... of awesomeness (true fans). Either way this manga will get its anime adaption starting this fall (for those of you who haven't heard about this yet, shame on you!). Rave got one, why shouldn't this? :P

i dont agree with the haters bout the ONEPIECE clone. though it has some points like onepiece its absolutely different and i wayyy like FAIRY TAIL.

bleh i guess fairy tail IS an animatable manga..... but i dunno... i'l proly just stick with the manga.... i'd bet my laptop that it'll be as phail as naruto, bleach, and one piece were as animes vs their manga versions ....

Indeed, indeed... about the only ones I follow and truly think is better than their manga versions must be Gintama and of course Hellsing Ultimate, but then we're not talking your typical shounen anymore and Hellsing Ultimate is an OVA series rather than anime.

Either way, since the manga's gotten so far already I'm just hoping there will be less fillers than those in the ones you mentioned, because the one thing that drags the anime down as a whole must be just that. sigh-why

it will probably be a long running show if they chose to run all the manga and not just several arcs

After the fillers of bleach and naruto, aka ub3r ph4il? haha i gave up on anime.
well not necessarily gave up, but I stopped watching them and started reading all the manga i could. I didnt have a problem with the "STILL" pictures at all.
i mean if i did watch anime, I'd still be reading subs so might as well just read scans.


on the other hand,
Fairy Tail, Which i thought seemed like one piece at first due to their freakishly similar drawings, might be a good anime though. Id def give it a try.

and. FINALLY they decide to make an anime for it.

i would watch it but depending on how they do this it might fail or win but with only less than 150 chp its either gonna pass the manga and have some new story, filler hell, or overly dragged out eps

cant wait for the anime. first time i ever read this i looked for an anime and was disappointed to find that there wasn't one. it will be great to see it moving. just hope the voice actors are up to par with the characters. and really, people call it a once piece clone? wow, some people are really close minded to think its a clone of one piece.

well i've only read 4 volumes of fairy tale, its pretty good Two Thumbs
i've decided to wait for the anime to come out before reading more...not sure if its a good thing to do that but oh well i guess nose-pick

once again...fairy tail didn't copy sh*t..the artwork is similar due to several reasons...none of them being...fairy tail copied one piece..

read more hiro manga and you'll see that's simply his style..same as oda yet different..t

Satelight so far has proven to be a high-quality animation studio but who knows whether they can adapt something like this correctly. Satelight doesnt like to go beyond 26 episodes in a series. Maybe thats why they partnered up with A-1, with the two of them working together they might be able to stretch the episodes to 50 or even beyond that.

Fairy Tail will be nearly four years ahead of the anime when the anime starts. Satelight and A-1 can go through a LOT before having to either stop the show or go to filler.

I don't understand why people think Fairy Tail is a One Piece clone. The artwork looks just like his last big work Rave Master(check his later chapters for reference, not the early ones). I've been watching the Fairy Tail anime now, and I think it's average. I think the storyline is going waaay too fast, and the music isn't too original. Also, Gray's face is sooo bland. They pulled off Erza well though. I love the whole "Sailor Moon "transformation when she uses her magic.

Well they've done a good job with the anime so far, I love the OST.
And LOL at the latest episode; it seems Gray has fangirls even in the anime! xD
