How To Stop A Dog Barking?

My Neighbor has a dog and I can not stand it barking all night..

I am afraid to disturb my neighbors by complaining...because the father of their house went to the Iraq War and died.

Do you know any little tricks to help me to stop it from barking ?

well. you can get earplugs to block out the noise :D

but since its not your dog, i dont think theres a lot you can do...

sneak to the dog's house then break its neck then pretend to be innocent the next day. (haha)
best thing to do is toss him a food, no wait after his done eating he will jut do it again.
try tossing him a pail of food 3 or so so that when his full all he will do is poop around, wait that would cause you to clean the poop if he poops at you house!

hmm, talk to your neighbor nicely say that the dog is barking so much and it bothers their 'other neighbors'(w/c is you) theill understand unless they are not irritated by the noise as well.

Well, yelling at it and barking at it will just irritate it, making it bark more. I'd do what the others suggest and try giving him food. Other than that, you might have to suck it up and talk to the family. If you have work and all that, it's not unreasonable to want to sleep at night. Yes, it's terrible that someone in their household died in the war. It's terrible when a family member dies regardless. But that does not give them the right to be rude, or have an animal that disturbs the peace. Maybe you could suggest that they just keep him inside at night or something.

I wouldn't toss food to a neighbor's dog, not the best idea. But yes, just talk to the neighbors and say it's becoming an issue.

For a dog you own you're technically supposed to spray the dog with a spritzer or some other form of water. It's displeasing and if it continues to get sprayed in the nose and face while it barks it associates the act's with one another and would EVENTUALLY stop barking. But seeing as how you can't actually get to spray it as often as would be required I suggest throwing the dog a HUGE peanut butter sandwhich. Dog'll be quiet for a while that way. Or purchase a dog whistle and blow it as hard as you can everytime. It should be painful to the dog and it'll again eventually stop.

Depends on whether or not you're willing to sit outside for a little while every night punishing the dog with a whistle or spray bottle.
