[Shadowbutterfly]

Your skin is so cold,
Like the everlasting snow,
That falls to the ground in flurries.

You left this world,
Left me behind,
To somewhere I cannot follow.

Alone in the room with you,
My heartbeat is the only one,
For yours has long been gone.

Silence.

It's all around us,
Until you speak my name.

Your tears burn me,
Like the hottest flame,
And I vaugely wonder why,
While you cry out my name.

I was utterly loyal to you,
True to the very end,
But then you dumped me in the cold snow,
And I guess this is the end.

The snow turns red,
And you continue to cry,
Asking me over and over why?
Why did I choose to die?

But you should know the answer now,
And if you don't that's just another reason to prove you never loved me,
I chose death,
Because of you.

My heart used to skip a beat,
When you came near me,
And now it's just still,
Like the fallen snow.

This world is black, white, and red,
I'm the cause of the red.
My blood drips to the ground,
Tainting the snow,
Destroying it's perfect whiteness.

Nothing in this world is perfect,
And I'm most certainly not.
Your support meant something at the time,
But now,
As I dance in between Life and Death,
I wonder.

What made you so special?
Your worse than me,
So why did I look up to you?
You made me bleed..

Slowly to the ground,
Is brown and ugly,
And worth nothing anymore.

It's blown by the wind,
Always guided in different directions,
Getting stepped on and crushed.

This leaf I do believe,
Just so happens to be me,
And if this leaf is not me,
Then perhaps I am the sea.

Always changing from calm to raging,
Never the same everyday,
Even though I appear to be.

As rampant as a horse,

These cannot compare to my anger.

It runs through my veins,

They better run because,
I'm a wreck and it's your fault.

When I'm through with you,
Your very essence won't be left,
I'll hurt you the way you've hurt me,
And I'll make sure to toss in a smile when I've broken you.

Utter pain like a wound that never heals,
Something broke just now,
I'm fairly sure it was my heart,
And it sounded like shattering glass.

You took what I had and then destroyed it,
Left me but a simple shell that moved,
This pain has become too much,

And I'm locked away within my mind,
A dark dark place,
That confines my thoughts.

I'm lost without you,
Searching blindly in the dark,
Trying to find a way out of here,
Trying to see what went wrong.

Like a butterfly,
I was born to be free,
But this mind of mine,
Seems to think differently.

I've read all of them. They are all great and very poetically inspiring. Not a single flaw in any. ..However you do have me worried about, one, if you truly feel this way. And, two, the reason behind a few of the poems.. Other than those concerns, they are excellant. ^^

Well, when I wrote these, it made me feel better to know people could see how I felt. (:

Love is so wonderful,
Everyone seems to say,
But Love for me is just,
Unbelievable pain.

I've loved many times,
And I've been hurt,
I'm sorry if I keep pulling away,
But I just can't seem to say,
How much I truly love you.

I'm afraid of Love,
But I'm afraid of being alone,
I need to find what I left behind,
And I believe it was my soul.

My heart is broken on the floor,
I don't want to hurt myself trying to piece it together again,
So I'll leave the pieces there,
So they can be stepped on again.

Bloody water from the last war,

Let the water guide us,
Let the earth protect us,
Let the sun show them,
Show them that Hope has arrived.

The Moon is high in the sky,
Children of the night dance in her light,
Wolves howl and bats shriek,
The water ripples silently in the dark.

I look forward to the rise of the Sun,
I miss his warmth and his light,

Lead me to Comfort.
I can do without Love.

I can do without that bond,
I can survive with what I've got,
I just need the Sun's warmth,
Just his comfort,
And maybe,
Maybe your Comfort too.

I've always known heartache,
Always known a pain deeper than you can know,
A loneliness that's so utterly obvious,
It tears me to pieces every day,
Leaving me a mess of tears on the floor.

But since I've known you,
It's not as strong,
That pain I felt yesterday,
And it's all thanks to you.

I hope that one day this pain goes away,
Like an army hopes to see their family after the war,
I truly wouldn't have made it this far,
If it wasn't for you.

There's no blame. The part in the middle means that the pain I felt before is slowly leaving because of you, lol.

Love is cruel,
So is Hate,
I think I rather confinscate,
My poor broken heart.

Protect it from the harsh words you speak,

But if I protected it,
I'd never be able to feel the love,
I so desperately seek.

Hmm. -eyes the clock- Fifteen minutes, and then I'll go to bed. XD

I watch you sit on the floor and hang your head in between your knees,
I feel so useless that I can't do anything for you.
I sit next to you and listen to your sobs,
Hold you when you need it.

You should know this by now,
I'm not like he was,
I won't leave you a broken mess on the floor,
This I promise you.

I'll be your shoulder to cry on,
Your punching bag when your angry,
And your best friend always.

This was for Sarah when she was going through a rough time. I hope she never has to feel such pain again.

My heart is so broken,
Am I just some kind of toy?
I tried so hard to make you happy,
I really thought you could set me free,
But it seems that there is truly no key,
That can release me.

Then I remembered it was you,
You were the one who put me in this prison,
I don't know why I ever thought you'd set me free.

I can't break these chains,
There is just too much pain,
So I'll sit here day after day,
With simply no way,
Of knowing anything else but pain and outrage,
But what else should I have expected?

On day one I cried for you,
Simply because I had nothing else to do.

On day two I leaked a tear,
And I was surrounded by a cold fear.

On day three I had a dream,

On day four you weren't there,
I searched and searched everywhere.


On day five I spilled my blood,
It ran down my arm like a dark red flood.

On day six I saw you die,
But I was stubborn and said it was a lie.

On day seven I saw a light,
And I too, went without a fight.

There was so much blood,
Tears ran down my cheeks as I cried,
It was like an endless flood.

It's a lie; it's all fake,
In a few moments you'll wake,
Your eyes will glow with life,
And relief will burst through a closed floodgate.

But I have this feeling deep inside me,
That no matter how hard I wish this to be,
You'll lie still and never breathe..

Your sightless eyes peer up at me,
