I find one piece to be completely ridiculous. That being said, I cannot help but to love it, and eagerly await its arrival every week. I wouldn't say that its better than Naruto, but they are both my favorite weekly manga. Bleach is just too ....dark. And One Piece is hilarious. Aha Luffy, you silly courageous bastard you. Definitely read for a funny manga with action!

One of the best manga ever created. I definitely like the story. Until now they haven't stopped searching for that onepiece. LOL. Different characters who became a group to join the voyage in search for that onepiece which gradually became friends.

I would say that Bleach has many more dead spots than Naruto. I've never been bored with Naruto like I am with Bleach. And I agree with you that One Piece never seems to lose momentum, even with the two breaks the mangaka took. It's just great!

One Piece is the only shonen being able to keep its pace, action, tension and humor up, in my opinion.. No other on-going shonen even come close to the war in One Piece right now.

You're absolutely right! I make it a note to always read One Piece first and Naruto second when they both come out. Bleach is always last on my list as it is really boring to read compared to the other two and the story keeps dragging on. uh-umm


I alway go for bleach first because it's the least appealing, then Naruto, then I finish my shounen fix with a dose of OP...

Well never say never. I'm still holding a coin on Bon Clay not surviving, and Whitebeard looks like a gonner too.
We can also start debating who the 'real' good guys are, as they are, after all, pirates.
I agree though, Ace dying would have made it all for nothing, surely someone will come to help them, since Whitebeard seems to be busy, maybe Marco can do something. -->

Although the only good thing about this saga, is that Luffy has found new allies. (Hancock, Ivankov, Inazuma, the whitebeard pirates among others) And even if Ace does kick the bucket, I'm pretty sure there is something interesting around the corner that can further the story. (Also on an added note, there is still the chance of re-uniting the crew!)

That makes sense. But you have to remember, Luffy is a happy-go-lucky guy. For him to succumb to pure hate would basically change his character! Which is a bad move. If Ace does die, Luffy would go berserk, beating the snot out of a tone of Marines, he would collapse and after being rescued would mope for awhile, (Like the Usopp Fiasco) and would be forced to choose between continuing pirating or go for revenge. This is something I wanna see Oda try and perform!

Anyway, I do worry what will happen to Hancock and Amazon Lily. She outwardly attacked a Marine Officer to defend Luffy. She even makes it clear that she likes him! (Without confessing of course) Here's how I see it:

a. Hancock will simply pass this off and keep her title because Shichibukai are simply uncontrollable.
b. Hancock gets her bounty re-instated and goes off to join Luffy's temporary crew. This will spell trouble for Amazon Lily!
c.Make your own.

Iva-chan is some sort of miracle doctor, yes, but you can even see a REAL doctor rushing towards Ace and he tells them that he knows when he's about to die. This was a very grim chapter indeed. I'd even go as far as saying this is one of the saddest moments in One Piece's history.

I'm just happy Oda didn't kill him on the execution stand like it would be history repeating itself. Ace protecting Luffy as he died was done perfectly, but in a really sad way.. It's true that Luffy gained new allies, but The Whitebeard pirates may even perish themselves, Whitebeard looks like a gonner already, and so does Jimbei, at least he got some severe burns. What I really want to see now is what Luffy's going to do next. Maybe Garp too, I really liked his reaction when Sengoku had to hold him down. Damn these chapters are moving too slow! xD

Phoenix Tears that can 'heal' others were only a part of Harry Potter last time I checked.

I think Blackbeard wants to be a pirate king or something, just like Luffy. Otherwise, why go through all the trouble of collecting new prisoners for a crew? From what he said on the last page, I'm pretty sure Blackbeard's ultimate target is Whitebeard himself, but I'm unsure how the marines will react to what Blackbeard did in Impel Down.

I think the title of Pirate King has to do with opposition aswell, as Akainu said that Whitebeard never made it, so he was a failure. I don't think it's only about the one piece treasure, since if you have it, someone else can easily take it away if they're as strong as you (other yonkou).

Yeah, everybody was thinking Dragon lost a huge opportunity by not joining this war, which it seems that he isn't going to join either. Oda probably has much more in store for Dragon later on though. But making Luffy join him right after this would be a little soon; I'm thinking it will first of all be about reuniting the crew, then something about the other yonkous/Shanks and how Whitebeard's crew disperses, as I'm sure they'll be recruited by someone or the other, and there'll be some tension building there. THEN maybe Dragon, after all that's settled and over with.

There's no way dragon is a yonkou. We got a picture of all four of them already. What im interested to see is a time skip right after the war. Maybe a year atleast. Luffy really needs someone to help him with haki, i don't mean a sensei but just some help. What would be really great is if luffy comes back after a year and attacks marejois or something crazy like that. I've been also thinking about the whole vegapunk deal. What if he's actually a fruit user of the brain-brain fruit? He might be a captive of the world government. That'd be good because then luffy could save him and stop this unreal technological leap going on in the world. That would slow things down to allow pirates to still have a chance. I don't think the marines will be totally crushed. And if they are crushed, I think the world of One Piece will become very lawless, because it doesn't seems like Whitebeard will make through this attack now,not with Blackbeard and his crew now on the offensive. And if I'm not wrong Whitebeard had quite a big influnce on the pirate world. On the other hand, if Whitebeard were to die, another new pirate age might be born, like what happened with Gol D.Roger

What's really ridiculous in this war is the outcome as of now. THe marines brought in maybe 100,000 men and the pirates had maybe 30,000 tops. With all of the earthquakes and marine-inflicted sacrifices, the pirates have lost around 28000 and the marines have lost 60,000. Yet with all of that death, not a single commander or admiral was lost. Now matter how i see it, even with whitebeard's death, it's the marines complete loss. If there are those with the strength and desire to carry on whitebeard's legacy then this war was a total waste of manpower. Im not sure that this really is the turning point for a new age. Unless, blackbeard manages to make a REALLY big impression. So the question is, who will take whitebeards place among the yonkou? Will it be his second-in-command Marco? Or the golden child, Luffy, who i remind you has the approval of two yonkou? Or does the crew of 10 let blackbeard rise to the top?

There may be chaos, but there is sill dragon and shanks. And we still have to find out what happenned to the other crew members after kuma hit them, so i would assume that soon, they are going to go back in to the past and follow each persons story soon, or they will magically meet up and give a quick recount of how. but the luffy on his own has taken too long, so it will be incredibly awkward if the swap to another character and do his/her entire story, cos, following this luffy arc, it would take about 100 chapters per member, minimum 50.
