You seem to think all of the Superman out there are the same, or should be. They aren't for a reason. Comics give the ability to change stuff up and make new appearances. The arcs and series differ because people want to have fun.

Superman has been re-invented many times. And there is a DC licensed reincarnation and story to Superman you could find I'm betting. It's probably the dividing point between current and pre-crisis superman.

But Superman isn't merely a character, he is an IDEA. He's the modern example of Hercules. Superman isn't there for people to be like "this is so fake" he is an example of what a real hero should be. He isn't some beefed up idiot who likes to fight, but a symbol. To me he isn't just some drawn figure but a symbol to be referenced for ages.

Comparing a symbol to a character isn't right.

I believe Superman was shown to be a racist at one time as well....

Even if it has nothing to do with it I'll elaborate on it. Things where a lot more acceptable back then. You can find some pretty "okay then questionable now" content in a lot of old comics.


Now let me make this as clear as I can. I couldn't give a sh!t about Superman vs. Goku. I merely felt like chiming in to provide some points to help. I know there is not point in helping but maybe I could change some opinions. That and I don't like the bashing of comics.

As for time travel, it has been explained many times in the comics. Just because you do not read the comics or choose to ignore it does not mean that it has not been explained before. No wait, thats the MO of you guys. Ignoring anything that breaks your argument.

Superman has been explained to be able to travel through time because he can travel faster than the speed of light and literally break the time barrier. Something the Flash has also done a number of times.

It is a consistant part of his lore from back then until now. That's how he can occasionally teams up with the Legion of Superheroes, people from the 31st century throughout his publication history. Thats why it even appeared in the 2nd movie.

Plus Using animation as a benchmark for canon is ridiculous.

Look at Rambo and Conan, two of the most violent cinema characters we all know and love, and see what happened when they got turned into cartoons. In Rambo, no one, not even the bad guys EVER got killed. Ditto with Conan. Thats the limitation of the animation industry in the US.

Then Goku caould obviously do the say thing.

We see Gotenks yelling atthe open air so he could go through an open dimension. There is no way in hell Superman could do that.

If superman can do this in the comics..then maybe...

The truth is:
If Goku is ever shown in the superman universe, he will be converted and seen as a GOD! If superman is capable of doing the most silliest things out of pure nonsense, then we can be sure that Goku could do the same things 9999x99999 more in the comics!!!

If Goku ever is thrown to the comic world, he'll be the strongest hero who ever lived in both worlds.

Manga is more realistic than Comics.
That is why it is favored more in this world.
Mangakas earn a living through manga...while comics do not...

When in doubt, go to the source. In this case, its the comics for Superman. If one were to use animation as the rule, would you want to start considering those hentai porn DB animations as valid for use too?

Except he hasn't.

If he could travel through time, he would not need to have to go through all the pain and suffering of having his friends and partners die and have them watch each other die, while struggling to find the dragonballs before wishing everything back to normal. He could have just travelled back in time to prevent it. But he doesn't.

Even if he isn't smart enough to figure that out, he has some of the smartest minds and eve sages and gods who could have told him that was possible. Unless they think he is not capable of doing it (travelling fast enough to break the speed barrier).

Anyways opening a gateway to another dimension is NOT the same as time travel. Else Darkseid's Omega Beams (which basically beams his targets to another dimension) would have won him all his battles.

Stick to the sources as you said. Or else someone is gonna come up with something as ridiculous as Bulma just happening to have a capsule with some random kryptonite that just happens to be from Superman's dimension, which he happened to give Goku as a good luck charm, which he happened to bring along to the fight.

with a*head goku i can kill him by simply turning off the goddamn tv, and i can kill fag supieman just by tearing the comics, and if he appears on tv, turn it off, and his dead + you'll get some silence from the SWOOSH, KAMEHAwutever(which takes 5 episodes to make) and those sfx stuffs.
